The Olympic fire was lit in Olympia on December 13, 1991, and taken in a miner's lamp to Athens. The "Concorde" brought the flame to Paris, and the torch relay through France to Albertville covered 5,500 km. It was organized by "La Poste". The last runner was Michel Platini, accompanied by Fr.
